I'M HITTING THE 'LIKE' BUTTON FOR....
Posted on 20:18 by raja rani
I'm hitting the 'like' button for the all-out hustle of Yasiel Puig. The Dodgers rookie is fun
to watch because he plays hard every single play. Oh, I know that might change after he
gets his first big contract, but I'm going to enjoy it while I can.
I'm hitting the 'like' button for the human side that Tiger Woods showed after winning the
WGC-Bridgestone by 42 strokes last Sunday. The cyborg of golf picked up his little kid,
Charlie, as carried him to the scorer's tent to sign his scorecard. Nice touch.
I'm hitting the 'like' button for Riley Cooper after he returned to the training camp of the
Philadelphia Eagles and apologized to every one of his black teammates, one-on-one, for
offending them with his racist comments. Cooper didn't ask for their forgiveness because
he didn't want them to bear any of the burden of having to give it them.
I'm hitting the 'like' button for Ryan Lochte after he told NBC's Dan Hicks on Saturday that he
has never keep any one of his 23 World Championship medal. The Spicoli of swimming said he
gives them to kids in the stands because he loves to see the smiles on their faces. Dude, that's
far out!
I'm hitting the 'like' button for Jay Bilas calling out the NCAA for its hypocrisy. The ESPN
tweeted the picture of what he got after he punched in the name Johnny Manziel on the NCAA
site. Up came all of the Johnny Football jerseys the NCAA was trying to make money off. The
jerseys of the same Johnny Football the NCAA is investigating for taking money for signing
autographs.
I'm hitting the 'like' button for the commercial with Eli and Peyton Manning. That's what you
call tight-roping across the Grand Canyon without a safety net. Football on your phone, big
stones in your jock.
I'm hitting the 'like' button for the fact that Chipper Jones has curbed his addiction and quit
Twitter. I wish more athletes would be like the former Braves great and get off Twitter. They
should just do themselves a favor so they don't tweet themselves in the foot as so many of
them do.
I'm hitting the 'like' button for Fredi Gonzalez who is one of the nicest people in the game
of baseball. I've known him since he was managing in 'A' ball and he hasn't changed a bit.
He has the Braves on a wicked hot streak at they are rolling to another division title.
I'm hitting the 'like' button for Keri Chaisson-Harden of New Canaan, CT. who completed
her third Ironman in Lake Placid on July 28th. Despite a bad back, she grinded out a stellar
time of just over 12 hours and 28 minutes. That's a 2.4 mile swim, 112-mile bike, and 26.2
mile run in 12 hours plus. Amazing. Good mark to shoot for as I will compete in the event
next year.
